The Shergold Masquerader Classic SM03SD Limited Edition 2018 Black Sparkle offers an exciting twist on the award-winning Masquerader series.

The solid Black Sparkle colouring with a high-gloss finish oozes a funk and glam rock aesthetic that is sure to appeal to guitarists who desire a high-end instrument with a unique edge that stands out and sees them proudly shine under stage lights.

It has its solid mahogany body loaded with USA-made Seymour Duncan Vintage Single Coil pickups for a gutsy and authentic tone. The Masquerader features a beautiful hand burnished solid rosewood neck and rosewood fingerboard.

Re-designed for the 21st Century in the United Kingdom by British guitar luthier Patrick James Eggle, the Shergold Masquerader captures the very essence of British Rock ‘n’ Roll. This modern reinvention of the iconic British guitar makes a polite nod to its 1970s heritage, then quickly heads off in its own new direction.

It’s absolutely beautiful!
Lightweight like a Gibson SG, plays and sustains like a PRS when distorted, a Strat when clean and looks like a cross between its 70s cousin and an Ampeg Dan Armstrong. That’s like 5 guitars in one!
The tone is incredible, light, crisp, delicate one minute and full-blown, raging grit when distorted. I’ve already told all my guitarist friends about this guitar! Definitely a guitar to find out about... and never look back!

This is an amazing guitar, I first had a Shergold custom bought second hand in 1980, this was stolen from me in the early 90's and I always thought about getting another one but this time I wanted a new one once I had semi-retired. I found it online via gear4music and at a very reasonable price. This guitar plays beautifully and handles blues and rock (which I mainly play). Suffice it to say, I am extremely happy with this guitar to sit alongside my PRS SE and my Larrivee acoustic.
