No. Although we've taken inspiration from the originals, they have been completely re-engineered, redesigned and modernised for the 21st century.
They are made in our workshops in Indonesia and China by skilled guitar builders.
From the very beginning. Patrick took a blank sheet of paper and an original Shergold guitar and did what he does best: Create an awesome guitar
Both Shergold and Faith are designed by Patrick Eggle, and they are made in separate parts of the same (now expanded) workshops in Indonesia.
Yes we do. The Mahogany wood for the bodies is from FSC certified sources in Indonesia. The Rosewood is also from Indonesia, from certified and government approved sources.
We certainly do. Shergold guitars come from one specific workshop who we have known and worked with for many years. The workshops are run by an Indonesian family who employ woodworking graduates and offer training for many others. The craftsmen work from 8 to 5pm, 5 days per week. Everyone gets a lunch break, annual holidays and pension provision.
Give us time! We’ll get there.
We certainly will. All new guitars will be announced on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels and via our newsletter. Make sure to follow us on social media and signup to the newsletter to hear about everything new at Shergold Guitars.
That’s up to you. There are currently four pickup configurations available all using proper USA Seymour Duncans. So you can go for double humbucker power, single coil twang and P90 style crunch.
Maybe. Drop us a line thru the contact form and give us your pitch. We’re always looking for exciting artists who choose differently. We like to hear from all Shergold players though! Remember that you can post pictures and video to our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.
We currently have dealers in the UK only. Many of these are able to ship overseas and are used to dealing with overseas transactions so it’s best to get in touch with them. You can find and contact all of our dealers here.
As with all retail purchases, your contract of sale / warranty is directly with the store that you purchased the product from. So, in the event of a warranty claim or the need of a repair, you should contact your local main dealer– preferably the retailer from which you bought the instrument. In the event that the store from which your made the purchase goes out of business, you can contact any other Shergold Guitars retailer who should assist.
To claim under warranty, you will need a copy of your original purchase receipt. Where a product requires repair or replacement under warranty, most likely the product will be returned to our technicians who will assess and report back to the store, who in turn will advise you of the next steps.
For repairs outside of warranty terms, your local Shergold Guitars retailer will be able to offer advice and a possible fix for the issue either in store or by using a local specialist guitar tech.
