The electric 12-string guitar has long been part of Shergold's story. From the pioneering Shergold 12-string guitar and bass double-neck played by Genesis' Mike Rutherford in the 1970s to today's latest generation of instruments, Shergold has remained committed to building guitars that give players the freedom to forge their own distinctive sound.
Designed in the UK by renowned British luthier Patrick James Eggle, the new Telstar 12-String carries that philosophy forward. While retaining the unmistakable harmonic shimmer and character that has made electric 12-strings a favourite for generations, the Telstar 12-String is built to inspire creativity and reward adventurous players with expansive textures, atmospheric soundscapes and powerful octave-driven riffs.
Built around a solid poplar body with a maple neck and laurel fingerboard, the Telstar 12-String combines excellent playability with dependable performance. Its fixed bridge features a 6-string through-body / 6-string through-bridge design with 12 individually adjustable saddles, ensuring excellent tuning stability and precise intonation across every string pair.
Twin FilterSonic humbuckers provide the Telstar 12-String with impressive clarity, warmth and output, while the three-position selector switch, master volume and tone controls offer excellent tonal flexibility.
